Practical guide for businesses
At madi&co, we support our clients in two areas:
- as a digital marketing and communications agency,
- and as an accredited training organization in Luxembourg, specializing in digital marketing, communications, video creation, and artificial intelligence.
Our training courses are eligible for Luxembourg government subsidies through the continuing education co-financing scheme (INFPC). In other words, part of the costs can be reimbursed to your company.
In this guide, we explain how training subsidies work in Luxembourg, what steps to take, and how much you can recover through this scheme.
Why does the Luxembourg government fund continuing education?
Luxembourg actively encourages continuing professional development in order to:
- help companies remain competitive,
- support employee development,
- promote innovation and adaptation to new tools (such as artificial intelligence).
That is why there is a mechanism for partial reimbursement of training costs for all companies established in Luxembourg.
Who is eligible for training subsidy in Luxembourg?
INFPC co-financing is available to:
- all companies established in Luxembourg, regardless of their sector or size,
- full-time or part-time employees,
- managers and senior executives,
certain self-employed workers (subject to conditions).
In short: any Luxembourg company can train its employees at a lower cost.
Amount of subsidy : how much can be reimbursed?
The training reimbursement for companies in Luxembourg can be up to 15% of the costs incurred. Eligible expenses include:
- Training cost ,
- Travel expenses related to training,
- Part of the remuneration of employees in training.
Concrete examples of co-financing (INFPC Luxembourg)
Example 1: our training course “Finally visible in Luxembourg thanks to LinkedIn”
- Cost of training: 490 €
- INFPC co-financing (15%): 73.50 €
- Remaining cost to the company: 416.50 €
Example 2: our training course “Create powerful videos like a pro thanks to AI” with additional costs
- Training cost: 490 € (1 day)
- Employee’s gross daily salary: 250 €
- Total costs taken into account: 490 € + 250 € = 740 €
- INFPC co-financing (15%): 111 €
- Remaining cost to the company: 629 €
When the employee’s salary is taken into account, the reimbursement becomes even more attractive: not only does the company recover part of the training cost, but also a fraction of the salary paid during the training day.
Steps to obtain INFPC co-financing
- Choose an approved training course. Check that the training course is provided by an approved organization in Luxembourg (such as madi&co).
- Draw up a training plan. The company draws up its annual training plan and submits it to the INFPC.
- Attend the training course
Employees participate in the chosen training course. - Submit a reimbursement request
Before May 31 of the following year, the company submits its co-financing application, including:
- invoices,
- certificates of participation,
- the overall training plan.
Reimbursement deadlines and procedures
- The application must be submitted no later than May 31 of the following year.
- Reimbursement will be made after validation by the INFPC, usually within the following months.
